Persian Cats - Colors

Persian Cats come in a great variety of colors and patterns that are treated separately for judging a Persian cat at the shows. (In the USA all colors of Persian Cats compete on the same standard.) They can be:

Solid (white, black, blue, red, cream, chocolate, and lilac).
Possess silver or golden division colors (chinchilla silver or golden, shaded silver or golden).
Shaded and smoke division colors (shell: cameo, cream, tortoiseshell, blue-cream; shaded: cameo, cream, tortoiseshell, blue-cream; smoke: black, blue, cream, red, tortoiseshell, blue-cream).
Tabby division colors (classic tabby pattern, mackerel, silver tabby, silver patched tabby, blue-silver, blue-silver patched, red tabby, peke-face red, brown tabby, brown patched, blue tabby, blue patched, cream tabby, cameo tabby, cream cameo tabby, chocolate tabby, chocolate patched, lilac tabby, lilac patched).
Parti-color division colors (tortoiseshell, blue-cream, chocolate tortoiseshell, lilac-cream).
Calico and bi-color division colors (calico, dilute calico, chocolate calico, lilac calico, calico smoke, bi-color).
Himalayan division colors (point pattern, chocolate, seal, lilac, blue, flame, cream, tortie, blue-cream, Himalayan lynx, seal lynx point).

Persian Cats - Diet

Dry cat food is recommended for Persian Cats, canned food should be given for special occasions, like a treat or reward. Being carnivorous, all cats need meat. Persians should be given raw beef about twice a week. Persians, like all cats, drink milk with pleasure, but it's not necessary for them. Kittens need milk from their mother, but not adults. Too much cow milk may cause diarrhea, especially in small kittens. Milk should be given only occasionally to Persian Cats.
